Drop off Sammy with the in-laws. He's going to eat well. We should weigh him first to see the difference Landed in Chicago. No problem. Made it to the rental agency -- guess what? No vans in the lot. Waited around the lobby for about half an hour / 45 minutes while the staff scrambled to locate a van. Finally was given one -- Dodge Grand Caravan with Florida plates. We're in Chicago. So, I left Boston last night and arrived in Dublin very early this morning. I had a 10-hour layover before my connecting flight to Frankfurt, so I took a coach into the city and did some sightseeing. I checked out St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, and Trinity College. Did some wandering around, and then hopped back onto a coach to go back to the airport. Only to find that my connecting flight was two hours late. Six o'clock is too early to fly out of Tulsa, but even with losing an hour we were on the ground in DC at 11:30, ready to learn the Metro system and see all we could see. First we bought Metro cards and made it to our hotel, the Marriott at 22nd and M. Great room and they let <B>us</B> in early. We were ready to sightsee, but since we had flown steerage we were also about to starve. So we ate Chinese at the Panda Cafe. Good food for hungry people. Left this morning at 7am and arrived at the hotel : The Virginian Suited in Arlington at 3:30pm. Very nice place .. nice kitchentte, clean and spaciuos bathroom . very impressive. Wouldn't mind spending the remainder of our trip here, but it's too late to cancel our other reservation. Once getting to here we headed out to Arlington National Cemetery. On the way we stop and check out the Netherlands carillon. Near the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial , the bell tower was a gift "From the People of the Netherlands to the People of the United States" in gratitude for American aid during and after W...

We made this a five day trip by leaving work at 3 p.m. Mon. and driving 6 hours to Ames Iowa to spend the night. Tuesday morning we were off early, stopping in Albert Lea and getting picnic supplies. We arrived in Minneapolis at 11 and headed straight to Lake Calhoun for lunch on the lake. It was beautiful. After a brisk walk we headed for the Mall Of America where we were to meet our tour bus at 2:00. We always allow plenty of time to get where we're going.
